چکیده
Cataract surgery considered as one of the most common surgical procedures performed worldwide. It has been suggested to be clinical benefit for both cataract and glaucoma by many studies. Besides removing cataracts restore vision, proved reduce intraocular pressure (IOP) in patients either with or without glaucoma. showed a great efficacy IOP reduction, considering 1st-line management Its effect on is variable magnitude affected factors, including angle configuration (open-angle vs. angle-closure) anterior chamber anatomy. Preoperative mean was typically significant factor affecting after surgery. Although notable correlation between refractive errors elevation long identified, role remains unclear. In this study, we explored relationship conditions post-surgery IOP. Aim work The aim study assess changes phacoemulsification different categories errors.

PURPOSE To compare changes in intraocular pressure (IOP), axial eye length (AEL), and refractive outcome in primary open-angle glaucoma patients undergoing cataract surgery and trabeculectomy in dependence of the sequence of surgeries. MATERIALS AND METHODS We retrospectively analysed 48 eyes. The changes in refraction, intraocular pressure, and axial eye length were analysed after surgery. I...

PURPOSE To evaluate early postoperative changes in intraocular pressure (IOP) following phacoemulsification and intraocular lens (IOL) implantation. METHODS This prospective study included 129 eyes with open angles and normal or high IOP undergoing phacoemulsification and IOL implantation for senile cataracts. The patients were divided into 3 groups (Gs) based on preoperative IOP: ≤15 mmHg (G...

PURPOSE To determine sequential intraocular pressure (IOP) changes after pars plana vitrectomy (PPV) with or without combined phacoemulsification and intraocular lens implantation (PE & IOL). METHODS Consecutive patients who underwent PPV with PE & IOL (combined group) or without PE & IOL (vitrectomy group) were reviewed for postoperative sequential IOPs and the number of IOP lowering medicat...

PURPOSE To evaluate changes in anterior chamber depth (ACD) and intraocular pressure (IOP) after phacoemulsification in eyes with occludable angles and compare the results with those in eyes with normal open angles. SETTING Eye Clinic, Ipoh General Hospital, Ipoh, Perak, Malaysia. METHODS Patients with nonglaucomatous eyes with open angles or with occludable angles were recruited. Ocular bi...

PURPOSE To assess changes in intraocular pressure (IOP) during standard coaxial or bimanual microincision phacoemulsification. SETTING Oregon Eye Center, Eugene, Oregon, USA. METHODS Bimanual microincision phacoemulsification (microphaco) was performed in 3 cadaver eyes, and standard coaxial phacoemulsification was performed in 1 cadaver eye. A pressure transducer placed in the vitreous cav...
